Our professional approach has led us to becoming the leading provider of professional music education.

Vlada’s Music Studio is committed to providing the highest quality music education in an enjoyable and comfortable atmosphere. Our main goal is to teach children to understand and enjoy music as well as to develop a love for Music throughout their life. For beginner students, lessons are based on a combination of popular and classical repertoire, focusing on learning notes, rhythm, musical terms, ear training, and famous composers. As students progress, they are offered to start the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) repertoire and prepare for the RCM exams. Outstanding students will be offered to participate in various competitions.

Piano Lessons

 

A graduate of the Lviv National Musical Academy (Ukraine), Vlada Popova holds a Master’s Degree in Music. After graduating in 1996, she was teaching piano at a College of Music in Ukraine and since 2006 in Canada. Every year her students win first awards and scholarships at Kiwanis Music Festival, Markham Music Festival, North York, and Yip's Music Festival. In 2012, one of her students took 1st place at the Canadian Music Competition in Toronto, and in 2020 one of them was accepted into the Music faculty at the University of Toronto. In 2022, one of the students received Honourable Mention in OMFA Provincial Finals and in 2023 another student was honoured to represent Kiwanis Music Festival at OMFA.

In 2024, a Level 10 student won the 1st place at Sea to Sky International Piano Music Competition and was honored to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York.

As both a piano teacher and the manager of Vlada's Music Studio, Ms. Vlada is committed to every student who comes to learn music. She strives to provide the highest standard of music education and aims to make each student's musical journey as memorable and enjoyable as possible, while fostering a productive and artistic atmosphere for teachers to express and enhance their best teaching skills.

After learning the piano for 13 years with Ms Vlada, Maryanna Boyd went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Music specializing in Music Education at the University of Toronto in 2025. She is also looking forward to completing her piano ARCT program this year. Having started to play from the early age of 4 years old, and picking up other instruments such as guitar and saxophone along the way, Maryanna has a big passion for music and enjoys passing on her love for the art to her students. Upon receiving her Bachelor’s Degree, Maryanna was accepted to pursue a Master of Teaching degree at the University of Toronto.

A graduate of Baku Pedagogical College (Azerbaijan ), Laura Yosopov holds a degree in Music and Education. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Laura has guided students as young as four years of age through every level of musical development, from beginner repertoire to advanced Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examinations and Associate Diploma (ARCT) certifications.

 

Her students consistently achieve excellent examination scores and have earned top awards in various music competitions, including the Kiwanis Music Festival, Yip’s Music Festival, and others. While Laura specializes in classical piano, she also enjoys exploring a wide range of genres with her students, helping them grow into well-rounded musicians.

 

Laura’s passion is not only to develop her students’ technical skills, but also to inspire them to enjoy music and develop creative expression through music.

Margaret Lannon began her piano studies at age 13 in Toronto, and quickly excelled through the Royal Conservatory of Music piano program. She went on to study music education at Western University, receiving piano instruction under the expertise of Dr. Sonja Behrens, and graduated with a Bachelor of Musical Arts (Education) in 1989. 

Margaret specializes in guiding beginner and intermediate pianists through their RCM examinations. She adopts an individualized approach to instruction, recognizing that each student has unique strengths, learning styles, and interests. Her teaching methods include: structured lessons tailored to exam goals, interactive games that build music theory knowledge and sight-reading skills, improvisation exercises to foster creativity and confidence at the keyboard, and repertoire selection that balances technical development with student enjoyment. By blending solid technical foundation with creative exploration, Margaret's goal is to inspire young musicians to achieve both practical success and a lifelong love of music. Recent highlights include high-level placement at the Kiwanis Music Festival, and exemplary results in RCM Practical examination. An active performer, Margaret regularly collaborates with fellow teachers and her students in studio recitals. These performances serve not only as milestones for her pupils, but also as opportunities for artistic exchange among colleagues. 

 

 

 

 

Piano Lessons

 

Svietlana was born into a family with a rich musical heritage; her grandmother graduated from a Music University in St. Petersburg, Russia. Svietlana began her piano studies at the age of five. She completed her education at Brest Music College and Minsk State University in Belarus, earning a Master’s degree in piano and conducting. Throughout her career, she has served as a piano teacher and accompanist at various music schools and a Music College in Brest, Belarus, where she held the position of head of the piano department at one institution.

 

Since 2000, she has been teaching piano and music theory privately in the Greater Toronto Area, eventually establishing her own studio in Richmond Hill, where she has taught for over 15 years.

 

Each year, her students achieve outstanding results in examinations, receiving top awards and scholarships at numerous music competitions, including the Kiwanis Music Festival and Yip’s Music Festival, among others.

 

Moreover, in 2007, one of Svietlana’s students successfully completed the ARCT piano exam and gained admission to the Piano Faculty of Music at the Glenn Gould Studio. Subsequently, in 2010, another of her students was accepted into the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto.

 

Svietlana fosters a unique connection with each of her students, meeting them at their individual levels of ability. Her students consistently express their admiration for her, incorporating her musicality into their own performances.

Guitar Lessons

 

 

Brandon Ruch is a dedicated music educator and guitarist now based in Barrie, Ontario. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Guitar Performance from Algoma University, where he taught individual guitar instruction to non-major students for 4 semesters. With a strong background in both classroom and private instruction, Brandon has worked with students of all ages and skill levels, previously teaching at the Fort Erie School of Music. His teaching style is rooted in versatility, drawing from years of live performance, studio work, and multi-instrumental experience. In addition to his academic work, he served as Studio Manager and Live Sound Technician at The Loft Studios/Venue at the Algoma Conservatory of Music.

 

 

 

Guitar Lessons

 

 

Grey Le is a professional guitarist, performer, and educator based in the City of Vaughan and Toronto. He started playing guitar at the age 12 years old, going on to obtain a Bachelors, and Masters Degree in Classical Guitar Performance at the University of Toronto.

Grey possesses extensive experience in teaching various music genres on all types of guitars, including classical, electric, and acoustic, catering to students of all ages, and preparing them for RCM examinations. Grey is fluent in a variety of styles, such as classical, heavy metal, rock & roll, and neo-soul. In his career, he has done numerous solo performances, performing at cafes, weddings, and premiering new works by aspiring composers. Outside of performing and teaching, Grey also enjoys producing, recording, and composing music.
